Itinerary

Day 1 Arrival in Helsingborg

Check in to the centrally located hotel. Hopefully you will have time for some sightseeing in this beautiful, medieval town by the ocean.

Day 2 Helsingborg – Höganäs - 21,5 km

Today’s hike has glorious views of Denmark on the other side of the ocean and is called “the Castle walk”. You’ll leave Helsingborg passing nice gardens on the small hills above the city. Soon you’ll reach the royal summer castle Sofiero, known for its magnificent gardens. Some extra time for a visit is highly recommended. Later you’ll pass small seaside villages such as Hittarp, Domsten and Lerberget. We also recommend a detour to the castle Kulla Gunnarstorp from the 15th century. When you arrive to the charming Village Viken, you see the Kullen peninsula in the distance. Just before Höganäs is Lerberget with its small harbor, suitable for a coffee break. Once in Höganäs, you check in at your accommodation and maybe stroll around among shops and restaurants.

Day 3 Höganäs – Mölle - 12 km

Todays walk is quite short and easy so you’ll have plenty of time for visits so take the opportunity to enjoy nature and the view. The trail runs along paths and smaller gravel roads along the sea. We recommend a very short detour to historic Krapperup Castle with its impressive park. Once you arrive in “Mölle by the Sea” there is much to enjoy; take a stroll in the village and look at the charming houses,
eat at your restaurant or have a coffee at the cozy “Mölles Krukmakeri” (Mölle pottery). Fancy a swim in the ocean? Then don’t forget the traditional striped swimsuit, known from early 1900 “the sin in Mölle”. (Mölle was the first place in Sweden where women and men would go to the same beach, so people traveled long ways from Sweden and Denmark to experience “the sin in Mölle)

Day 4 Mölle – Arild - 17,3 km

This day is filled with experiences and breathtaking views. From Mölle to Kullens Light house it takes about 1.5 hours and the hike goes along cliff trails, and through birch & oak forest. Don’t miss a visit to cozy Ransviks Café on Kullaberg’s south side with pebble beach that invites you to swim. Kullens Lighthouse is Sweden’s highest situated lighthouse, and have been here since the 13th century. The view is
stunning! From here you can take a small detour to visit the Silver Cave below the lighthouse. The path from Kullens Fyr to Arild goes half way through clear beech forest. At Josefinelund, about 3 km from the lighthouse there is a nice lookout point and nearby a rest area. If you feel that you have strength left, a few km before Arild the gigant artwork Nimis is a must to visit! (note that it is steep down / up to Nimis). Once in Arild, relax at your accommodation after a long days hike.

Day 5 Arild – Utvälinge – Ängelholm - 20,5 km

After breakfast, you have a 45-minute nice walk along the sea to the first coffee break: Flickorna Lundgren på Skäret – a classic! Then the trail continues towards Bökebäck harbor. The next stop is Jonstorp, to where you arrive after a beautiful walk through the heather fields with a magical view of the island Hallands Väderö and Torekov at Bjäre penninsula. The last stage goes through Farhult with its long
sandy beach. Maybe an afternoon coffee at charming Albertsgården? The hike goes through the bird area at the river mouth of the Görslövsån river, which you cross via a suspension bridge. From Utvälinge, you’ll take the local bus to the hotel in Ängelholm (takes 16 minutes and departs once / hour). At your hotel you can enjoy the various saunas and whirlpools.

Started the walk in Helsingborg after nice accommodation at hotel Mollberg via Sofiero further towards Höganäs. In general easy going, walked along the sea, nice with the small villages good distance between suitable stages. Nice accommodation with Frida down by the harbor, good food and good music at the restaurant Bryggan. Then continued towards Mölle, again good distance between the villages, we made a detour to Krapperups castle for a gofika and then Mölle with the cozy accommodation at Strandgården and superb breakfast. From Sofiero very easy to walk follow the sea and all these birds, as well as some cows and sheep.
