Getting here

-Transport to Sweden: for self guided hiking and cycling trips you book the mean of transportation that suits you the best. Suggested airports and train stations: Copenhagen (CPH) or Gothenburg (GOT). If you arrive with car we are happy to advise where to park during your trip.

-Transfers to/from airport/trainstation: often there are good local transportation from/to the airport/trainstation to the first and last accommodation. You will find more detailed descriptions for each trip. 

Accommodation

Our accommodations are hand-picked to be genuine and local, rather than luxurious. Normal standard is 3*** star accommodation, seen with Scandinavian eyes. You always have your own shower and toilet in the room unless otherwise stated. The names of the hotels will be announced when we confirm your booking. In exceptional cases we may be forced to change the hotel booked, we then offer an equivalent alternative.

The standard accommodation is part of a double room, which means that you share a room with a person in your travel company. Single rooms can be booked for an additional charge. A hotel’s number of single rooms is limited, but you can often book your own double room for a supplement.

Local tax & tipping

Some countries add local tourist tax upon arrival. Not in Sweden. No additional hotel cost will be added once you arrive at the hotel. Tipping is always appreciated in restaurants, no general rules applies, you add the amount you think is relevant for the service.

Luggage transfer

When you hike or cycle between different accommodations, we arrange luggage transport for you. You are responsible for ensuring that the luggage is properly labeled and placed at the designated place at the right time.

Food and drinks

Breakfast is always included in our accomodations. In Sweden we really like breakfast and all our hotels serve both tasteful and generous breakfasts, perfect for hikers & cyclists! At any time of the day, the Swedes take a “fika”, meaning coffe & cinnemonbun, really worth trying!
